Sign of the times: digital audit. Been there, done that – with success!

“It is all about being a serious partner.” says Natalia Janowska. Eryk has recently obtained the new ISO 45001 certification, an international benchmark for H&S standards. It also fits in well with our other ISO standards that we are already compliant with. This time the audit was very different. Curious why? Interested in what our HSEQ team has to share?

ISO 45001 certificate replacing OHSAS 18001

In 2020 we are switching to ISO 45001, a standard equivalent to OHSAS 18001, but better integrated with other standards we have in place at Eryk – ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 26000:2010. We will continue to engage both our project employees and our top management into the joint creation and improvement of OHSE processes that guarantee safe and efficient project execution.

Happy anniversary – loyalty goes both ways

 
In September we celebrated yet another 10th anniversary of employment for one of our most valuable team leaders – Wiesław Kłos. This is a fine example of the type of relationship that Eryk aims to build with the staff – a long-term commitment of both parties, loyalty, honesty, open communication, and opportunity for development.
 
One out of three (34%) of our technicians has been with us for more than 3 years already. Among them, also one out of three (32%) have worked at Eryk more than 5 years, and finally 30% of these have been with us for more than 10 years. This is 10 years of continuous improvement and we are counting for more!

Putting our mark on Copenhagen

Eryk’s technicians are making a positive impression in the new green district in Ørestad, Copenhagen. And our quality work has been noticed in our recent collaboration with El-Team Vest, whom we have assisted with electrical and mechanical installation work in a parking lot and new office facilities.
 
An installation partner as reliable as Eryk is a great asset. Our cooperation goes back to 2016, and we have since executed numerous projects across Denmark – all at a very high-quality level. Year after year, Eryk has supported us in installing main distribution boards, cable trays, lighting fixtures, emergency systems, earthing connections, pulling cables and much, much more. We are very satisfied with Eryk’s professional, innovative approach and very high quality of their services.

Sport keeps the team spirit up

Copenhagen to Madrid and back! Walking, running, cycling, or roller-skating. Eryk encourages sports activities. We have just completed the Office Summer Challenge 2020. 13 participants covered over 4600 km and burnt around 250 thousand calories, which is equivalent to 774 pizza slices, or 576 hot dogs.
 
We also have a tradition for participating in the NCDC relay race. This year was, of course, very different as the competition moved into virtual reality. All teams ran individually using an app to track the runs. Despite this, our NCDC- runners were ready for the run in Szczecin, as one of our teams even brought home the trophy for 2nd place.
 
Congratulations to: Maryna Chadaś, Bartosz Dawidziak, Patryk Cąbrowski and Przemysław Piotrowski who took 2nd place in this year’s NCDC race. Big shout-out to Eryk’s other great runners!

Christmas is just around the corner

It is natural for us to invest in our customer relationship. Personal meetings with our customers are a key element in understanding our customer's needs but also a means to improve our cooperation. Soon our Christmas visits will start, and we will once again "invite ourselves" to meetings with the customers that we have not seen in a long time. Another opportunity to evaluate, improve, stay up to date and, enjoy good company, in the safest possible way, of course.
 
Our Sales Team (read more below!) has already started preparations and will be happy to visit you in person, or if this is not possible, online. Like our summer visits, we will again be donating to Doctors Without Borders foundation for every online meeting we manage to hold.

Maj Winter Møller
If you are from Scandinavia, you will most likely meet Maj: Being a Dane herself, her special focus is on the Scandinavian market. Privately she is an eager runner, and her training gear is one of the essential items in her suitcase, already packed and ready for the next sales tour.

Adam Piotrowski

Szymon Gladysz
Szymon works as a Customer Relations Coordinator. He is responsible for maintaining and developing dialogue with Eryk’s current customers, and his focus is the Danish market, as he lived and got his education in Denmark. He spends his spare time on a variety of leisure activities, and he is most passionate about creating music.

Hamza Jatto
Hamza is a Nigerian-born, trained electrical engineer and is part of our West African Trainee Program in Europe. As our Customer Relations Trainee he is responsible for supporting and managing the commercial aspects of our projects. After hours, he enjoys going to the beach, and with an outgoing personality he also enjoys being around happy people.
