Not every hero wears a cape

It doesn't take much to be a hero. 😊
You just need to be at the right place (Eryk) and do the right thing (read on!)

An example to follow

Usually, it's the messy health&safety stories that get into the spotlight, but this one is different 😄
Mateusz Zabojszcz, rescued a technician from 3rd company at a project in the Netherlands. He prevented a dangerous situation from escalating into a casualty. Thanks to Mateusz’s cool head, this technician could return safe and sound to his family! 👏👏👏 The world would be a safer place, if there were more guys like Mateusz around.

19 technicians, 5 nationalities, over 30 degrees!

We often boast that Eryk is an international organisation and this is a perfect example showing exactly that. 5 nationalities on one team: Polish, Ukrainian, British, Romanian and Nigerian! "During the project, we were responsible for the assembly of conveyor belts and supporting steel structures, as well as the assembly of a filter system - the installation is located in a wood processing factory”– says one of the Team Leaders, Mateusz Maciąg.

It definitely was not easy – the temperatures were way above the comfort zone so in addition to the standard Health and Safety precautions, our team also used heat and sun protection. “In the first week of our work, we were "lucky" because the temperature fluctuated around 20 degrees Celsius, but later the weather got more serious and the temperature hit +30 / +35 degrees. The high temperature combined with full blast of the sun created very challenging conditions for work, especially since we were working outside, often with partially operating wood production lines that generated a great deal of noise and dust. We added one more item to the PPE sets - sun protection gear”.

Danish Royal Visit to the Netherlands

Talking about green and smart business

We were honoured to be visited by HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark in relation to the Danish Royal Visit to the Netherlands that finally took part June 20th-21st after about 2 years of delay caused by the pandemic. The Royal visit kicked off with a company exhibition at The Hague’s New Babylon conference center, showcasing more than 30 Danish export companies representing 3 different sectors: District heating & Energy efficiency, HealthTech & MedTech & Offshore Wind Energy and Power2X. Our Group Sales Manager Maj W. Møller got the chance to update the Crown Prince on our services and new initiatives ensuring that Eryk continues to contribute to the export market both in The Netherlands and Denmark, but also on the global scale.

10th anniversary at Eryk

Magda and Mariusz, congrats and thanks!

June 2022 was a month of two 10-year anniversaries at Eryk.
Magda Wiewiórska, nicknamed in Polish “Squirrel” after her surname - Senior HR and Payroll Specialist. She has been working in Eryk's office since 2012 and has observed a significant part of Eryk’s development. “I have seen the tough times and I have seen the good times, and not once have I felt insecure about the future of the company. Our Polish-Danish DNA is simply a recipe for success. Don’t tell that to everybody 😊”

Mariusz Piotrowski, nickname “Mario”- Key Account Engineer, responsible for team selection, but happy to get his hands on the technical work too. “I remember my first project in Norway, electrical installations in a tunnel that was 10 km long and ... had a roundabout in the middle! I remember it well because it was not just a unique location, but also a chance for me to meet great people. Together with my colleagues, we had to replace 30 year old cables - basically ancient. I had never seen a place like that before, but ever since then, I also have never been so dirty again😉

Congratulations, guys! Thank you for your great work and good luck for another 10 years (and more) with Eryk!

Apprentices at Eryk

We are happy to see our Apprentice Program in full swing. We will soon celebrate the first graduates of the Polish edition and that will be like celebrating the future of our company already today! (stay tuned for more information).
At the moment we have 20 apprentices (and 8 graduates), and the number is growing. Our aim is to keep constant inflow of candidates, and to educate and coach the young technicians. One of them is Krystian: “I take part in electrical installations at the projects abroad as well as in Poland. As an apprentice I can develop my technical skills and also learn English. I really like the dynamics at work and the travel opportunities. Till now I have been working in Greece, Denmark, France, Germany and Poland..” says Krystian, Electrical Apprentice, who recently took part in some movie shots.

The program has been running for a while now and the graduates are already working for Eryk as full-time employees - 7 of them coming from West Africa. In June we also welcomed 2 new colleagues from Nigeria.
